The audio level in the earlier movies is a little low, so
use the Pine Paddle and 3/4" Dowel Rod movies to adjust your
audio to the proper level - I'm sure you know how loud the paddle should be.
Then try the Holey Hairbrush and Enjoying
As usual,

4_Strokes - from a hard pine bar (stick) about 7/8" (22 mm) square
by 28" long - my first video effort. I didn't want to take the time to drive
back to get my implements, so it was a "found object" session. The audio level
is higher than in the other videos (added 09/19/04)
When one's partner
lacks the time or the ambition to become the "Manolete of the Limp Noodle" one
must find a way to combine the ease of operation of the paddle with the high
velocity and narrow "footprint" of the cane. Two variations are shown in "5
Tine Rake " and in "Hairpin". In both cases the ends of the tines felt too
light, so they were weighted with metal blocks. (added 10/20/04)
