English words describing either spanking or sex are many, sometimes more precise and apparently less diverse (fewer regional usages) than their Spanish translations. This makes it difficult for Spanish speaking authors to write down their stories or fantasies.

As the definitions below show, regional variations in Latin America are many and sometimes such that what is "polite" usage in one place is definitely "impolite" one or two political boundaries away.

balls (testicles) - bolas (Spanish), pelotas (Spanish-Argentina), cojones (Spanish-Spain)

beating (noun) - paliza (Spanish), tunda (Spanish-Argentina - softer meaning)

butt - traste(Spanish), poto (Spanish-Peru),

cunt - an old Anglo Saxon word, unfortunately often misused, which most women find an insulting way of referring to the vagina. A thorough reading of "Lady Chatterley's Lover" shows the older and much more loving use and meaning which includes the entire person. The double usage is perhaps best exemplified in the saying "Big woman, big cunt, little woman, all cunt". I do not know a similar whole person meaning in any other language.

pussy (vagina) - concha (Spanish-Argentina), cajeta ("little box", Spanish-Argentina), panocha (Spanish-Mexico)

clit (clitoris) -

nalgas - hips (Spanish), but not the upper hips near the waist, equivalent to "butt cheeks"but more specific and erotic both in sound and meaning.

pendejos - pubic hair (Spanish)

senos - breasts (Spanish-Argentina - polite, like "bossom"), chichis / chiches? (Spanish Mexico) I think this one is not "polite"

red ass - culo rojo (Spanish)

rod - vara (Spanish) I think the Spanish meaning is not limited to round objects like thick canes but also applies to "sticks". Possibly the only translation for "cane"
